Forescene work closely with clients to create their website but before meeting up with designers its worth while considering what you want from a design brief.

The brief needs to be a mutually agreed document that will outline the use and audience the website is destined for. In advance of meeting web designers or constructing a website yourself here are some things to consider.

What is the nature of your business?

Remember you know your business best; you are the best person to outline the structure of the organization, its history and strategic direction.

What are the parameters of the website design?

Do you see the site as a sales portal, an information center or a customer resource? Have you got a brand identity, should this be reflected in the site or are you looking to reinvent yourselves.

Who are you aiming the site at?

Does your product have a target audience or demographic, is it dependent on age, gender location etc.

What content will be included?

Find specific images and text that you wish to include, do you have a list of topics and headings that are essential reading. Source any photographs or images you wish to include.

What style and image are you considering?

Do you have a particular design style or typeface in mind you wish incorporated? Are there any preferences regarding size, color or patterning.

What is the budget and timescale?

Budget and timescale will give the designers an idea about the level of work necessary and how much time and resources they should allocate in the sites development.
